Welcome to the perfect Scottish holiday cottage. This self-catering holiday accommodation is on the beautiful island of Seil. It's an island - but connected to the mainland by the famous Atlantic Bridge. The town of Oban with its supermarkets and famous seafood restaurants is only 20 minutes drive away.

The island is the ideal place for a peaceful break, with spectacular scenery, walks, and many attractions nearby. The island has two pubs, both of which serve food. The village shop is 100 yards away.

The Granary is one wing of an old stone farmhouse, available to rent all year round. It is top of the range four star accomodation, with well appointed kitchen, bathrooms and living areas.

The property has two bedrooms, one a double with en suite bathroom, one a twin. There's also a sofa bed downstairs, as well as a second bathroom. The two bedrooms sleep a total of four people, and that can be stretched to six with use of the sofabed.

The living room has satellite tv, wireless internet, a woodburning stove and a well stocked library. There is a newly-fitted kitchen and dining area.

The property is eco-friendly, with solar water heating as well as the woodburner. They are supplemented by full central heating, run on hydro-electricity, with underfloor heating downstairs and radiators upstairs, making it excellent for a cosy winter break.

Outside there is a pleasant garden, which includes a children's swing and scramble net. To the back you can just glimpse the sea, all around are spectacular hills and countryside.

Behind the house there is a 9-hole golf course. Seil is the base for the famous Seafari and Sealife boat trips. Iona, Mull and Loch Ness are all an easy day trip. Or you can explore Seil and the neighbouring islands.

The area has fabulous opportunities for walking, cycling, fishing, diving, sailing and horse-riding, and there are several historic houses and gardens to visit. Seil is also a popular location for diving and sea-kayaking, with sheltered launching available on the inshore side of the island, and many spectacular islands and bays to visit.

Seil Island

The house is about two and a half hours drive from Glasgow Airport. Oban is served by train, coach and ferry, and there's a regular local bus service from Oban to a stop one hundred yards from your door.
